I'm a writer, a reader, and a lover of all things pop culture. I grew up in a log cabin in Vermont, surrounded by trees and chickens. I learned how to ski when I was six, I could start a bonfire in my sleep and my dad makes maple syrup every spring.
I've always loved to read - I spent most of my childhood with my nose in a book. Even now, I read about a book a week and I'm ALWAYS looking for recommendations (send me yours on twitter or facebook). Romance and YA are my genres of choice, though I also love Fantasy, History, and Science Fiction. And, for some reason, epic romances set in communist Russia.
I attended the University of Vermont, where I majored in English and Women's Studies. I moved to NYC right after college, and received my MFA from Columbia University. I recently moved back to Vermont, where I'm working on my next series. Read more about my life and other random thoughts on my blog!
Rachel Carter grew up surrounded by trees and snow and mountains. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont and Columbia University, where she received her MFA in nonfiction writing. These days you can find her working on her next novel in the woods of Vermont.
